Polymer Gear Pump

Polymer gear pumps are positive-displacement gear pumps specifically designed for high-viscosity polymer fluids such as resins, prepolymers, polymer melts, polyurethanes, and asphalt. They transport and precisely meter the medium by utilizing the meshing of gears to form sealed cavities; the flow rate remains virtually unaffected by fluctuations in inlet or outlet pressure, ensuring stable output and high metering accuracy.

An optional jacketed insulation structure is available, allowing for heating via thermal oil or steam to prevent the polymer from cooling, crystallizing, or solidifying and clogging the pump; the magnetic drive version eliminates the dynamic shaft seal to ensure zero leakage, making it suitable for applications involving toxic, volatile, or hazardous polymer media.

Wetted parts are available in 304/316L stainless steel or wear-resistant alloy steel; gear options include spur and helical gears to minimize shear and prevent the degradation of heat-sensitive polymers. The system can be configured with servo or stepper motors for precise flow control and supports vacuum feeding; it is suitable for applications such as polymer reactor discharge, metered feeding, circulation pumping, and extrusion boosting.
