A direct-drive gear metering pump mainly consists of two core components:

1. Drive unit (motor): Provides a stable power source, typically using a variable frequency motor or servo motor.

2. Actuation unit (gear pump head): Contains a pair of meshing gears. The motor drives the driving gear to rotate, and the driven gear rotates accordingly. A negative pressure is created at the gear meshing point, drawing in fluid, which is then expelled from the outlet by the squeezing action of the gears.
