Working Principle

The fluid enters the pump through the inlet of the pump and fills the space between the teeth.

As the gears rotate, a certain amount of fluid is trapped in the space formed by the two gears and the inner wall of the pump. This fluid is carried to the outlet side by the rotating gears, where the two gears mesh. This meshing process forces fluid out of the pump through the outlet. The pressure established depends on the size of the pump, gear clearance, pump speed, fluid viscosity and flow resistance.

Working Principle of epoxy resin pump
A motor drives a pair of meshing gears to rotate, utilizing the volumetric changes within the gear teeth to facilitate the intake and discharge of material:
As the gears disengage, negative pressure is generated, drawing in the epoxy resin;
As the gears mesh, the volume decreases, thereby squeezing and expelling the medium;
The flow rate exhibits a linear relationship with the rotational speed; by employing a variable-frequency or variable-speed motor, precise metering and stable mixing ratios can be achieved.

1. Media: Epoxy resins, epoxy adhesives, curing agents, polyurethanes, acrylates, etc.
2. Viscosity: 100 – 100,000 cP
3. Temperature: Ambient to 150°C (Heatable models available)
