When the pump is running, the active gear drives the passive gear to rotate. As the gears go from meshing to disengaging, the volume between the teeth on the suction side gradually increases, forming a partial vacuum, thereby sucking in the liquid.

The sucked liquid fills the valleys of the gear teeth and is carried to the discharge side as the gears rotate. When the gears enter the meshing state, the volume between the teeth gradually decreases, and the liquid is squeezed out, forming a high-pressure liquid, which is discharged from the pump through the discharge port, achieving continuous liquid delivery.
