It appears as a colorless or light yellow liquid at room temperature with a slight phenol smell. It is insoluble in water and soluble in acetone.

Mainly used in the production of surfactants, antioxidants, textile printing and dyeing auxiliaries, lubricant additives, pesticide emulsifiers, resin modifiers, resin and rubber stabilizers and other fields.
