The pump core gears are made of heat-treated, hardened 440 stainless steel, offering high hardness and excellent wear resistance. Optical coating slurries often contain inorganic nanofillers; standard stainless steel gears tend to generate wear debris during prolonged operation, which can contaminate the film. In contrast, hardened 440 gears significantly reduce the generation of wear particles, thereby preserving the cleanliness of the optical film and meeting the production requirements for high-grade optical films.
