2. Q: Why can this pump achieve precise metering?

A: This pump is a positive displacement pump. The volume between the teeth of a pair of meshing gears is fixed, and the delivery volume per revolution is constant. Metering accuracy is directly proportional to the gear speed. When paired with a drive device that allows for precise speed adjustment, such as a variable frequency motor or stepper motor, the delivery flow rate can be precisely controlled by adjusting the speed. Simultaneously, the insulation structure maintains a stable viscosity of the medium, reducing the impact of viscosity fluctuations on leakage, further ensuring metering accuracy.

 

3. Q: How to solve media leakage at the shaft end?

A: First, determine the seal type. If it is a packing seal, tighten the packing gland appropriately. If severely worn, replace the packing. If it is a mechanical seal, the sealing surface is most likely scratched or damaged by media impurities or aging, requiring replacement of the mechanical seal. If conveying high-temperature or corrosive media, replace with a double mechanical seal or install a sealing cooling/insulation jacket to improve seal reliability.

 

Startup and Operation (Dry-run and Overload Protection)
Before Startup:
Fill the pump chamber completely with the medium; dry running is strictly prohibited (just 3 seconds of dry running can damage the gears and seals).
Preheat high-viscosity media to 40–80°C (to reduce viscosity and startup torque) and open the vent valve to purge air.


Startup: Jog the pump at low speed (5–10 rpm); after verifying there are no abnormal noises or leaks, slowly accelerate to the rated speed. Starting directly at full speed is strictly prohibited.
