High Viscosity Material Transfer Gear Metering Pump
The high-viscosity material transfer gear pump is a positive displacement pump specifically designed for viscous, sedimentation-prone media containing small amounts of particulate matter. Its key advantages include low rotational speed, high torque, low shear, and high volumetric efficiency; it is capable of stably conveying media with viscosities ranging from 1,000 to 1,000,000 cP and is widely utilized in fields such as chemicals, asphalt, resins, food processing, and pharmaceuticals.

Key Selection
1. Viscosity and Temperature: For ultra-high viscosity fluids (>10⁵ cP), select the External Gear D-Series; for high-temperature melts, select a melt pump.
2. Flow Rate and Pressure: Flow rate ≤ 5 m³/h; pressure ≤ 35 MPa.
3. Material Characteristics: For fluids containing particulates, select wear-resistant materials; for fluids prone to solidification, select a jacketed design for thermal insulation; for food-grade applications, select 316 stainless steel with a polished finish.
4. Speed Control: The higher the viscosity, the lower the rotational speed required (e.g., for 10⁵ cP, a speed of ≤ 50 rpm is recommended); pair with a variable-frequency geared motor.
Installation and Maintenance Recommendations
1. Installation: Mount horizontally with the pump body positioned low to ensure the inlet pipe remains full.
2. Maintenance: Periodically inspect the gears and bearings for wear. When operating continuously under high-temperature conditions, avoid cold starts. If the pump is to remain idle for an extended period, drain the material to prevent solidification and seizing.
