A direct-drive gear metering pump mainly consists of two core components:

1. Drive unit (motor): Provides a stable power source, typically using a variable frequency motor or servo motor.

2. Actuation unit (gear pump head): Contains a pair of meshing gears. The motor drives the driving gear to rotate, and the driven gear rotates accordingly. A negative pressure is created at the gear meshing point, drawing in fluid, which is then expelled from the outlet by the squeezing action of the gears.

Its metering principle is based on "volumetric delivery." The volume of fluid discharged per gear revolution is fixed; therefore, by precisely controlling the motor speed and rotation time, the total amount of fluid delivered can be accurately calculated and controlled.
