Operating Principle

This is a positive-displacement gear metering pump. As the gears mesh and rotate, the fluid is carried within the gear tooth spaces from the inlet to the outlet. The flow rate is strictly proportional to the rotational speed; a servo motor with closed-loop speed control is used to precisely regulate the output of the isocyanate, which is then proportioned with the polyol component.
External-gear designs offer a broader displacement range, making them well-suited for applications requiring low to medium flow rates.

Q1：What media can this pump handle?

Q2：Why magnetic drive is mandatory for isocyanate?
A: Isocyanate reacts with moisture in air to form solid polyurea, causing pump jam. Magnetic coupling eliminates dynamic shaft seal, zero leakage & prevents moisture ingress.

Q3：Do we need heating jacket?
A: Yes for MDI. MDI tends to crystallize at ambient temperature. Heating jacket maintains constant working temperature to keep stable viscosity.
