Melt pumps are mainly used for transporting, pressurizing and metering high-temperature and high-viscosity polymer melts.
It is widely used in extrusion molding of plastics, resins, rubber, and chemical fiber products abroad.
Such as: granulation, film, pipe, plate, sheet, man-made fiber, optical fiber, medical plastic conduit, machinery manufacturing and other industries.
With the increasing development of the machinery industry, melt pumps are gradually adopted and applied by industry professionals in the Chinese market.

The melt pump is a positive displacement conveying device, and the flow rate is strictly proportional to the pump speed.
It is mainly composed of pump casing, driving gear, driven gear, sliding bearing, front and rear end plates, packing seal, etc.
The tooth profiles of the two gears, the pump body, and the side covers constitute the feed area, conveying area, and discharge area of the pump.

During operation, the melt is transported by changing the working volume caused by the mutual meshing of the main and driven gears. The working volume consists of the pump body, the tooth grooves of the gears and the bearings with the function of side plates (i.e. the feed area).
When the gears rotate in the specified direction, the melt enters the tooth grooves of the two gears in the feed area.
As the gears rotate, the melt is brought into the conveying area from both sides. The gears mesh again, causing the melt in the tooth grooves to be squeezed out of the discharge area and pressured to the outlet pipe.

As long as the pump shaft rotates, the gear will force the melt to the outlet side, so the pump outlet can reach a very high pressure, while there are no high requirements on the inlet flow and pressure, and even the inlet vacuum suction can be achieved.

Melt pumps are widely used in the extrusion molding of plastics, resins, and rubber products, such as granulation, film, pipes, sheets, and other industries. According to the tooth direction, they can be divided into straight teeth, helical teeth, etc.
