1. Medium Viscosity
Phenolic resins (especially thermosetting phenolic resins) are often high-viscosity liquids at room temperature (typically 500-10,000 cP or even higher). Some modified phenolic resins may contain fine fillers (such as glass fiber powder or graphite powder).
2. Medium Temperature
Phenolic resins often require heating (40-80°C) during processing to reduce viscosity and improve fluidity. Some processes may require higher temperatures (such as preheating before curing). Metering pumps must be temperature-resistant (the pump body and seals generally require a temperature resistance of ≥100°C) to prevent seal failure or component deformation caused by high temperatures.

Typical Application
1. Phenolic composite material production: Precisely deliver phenolic resin to the impregnation tank for compounding with reinforcing materials such as glass fiber and carbon fiber, controlling the resin content (e.g., in FRP sheets and pipes);
2. Phenolic molding compound preparation: Proportionally mix with curing agent and filler (e.g., wood flour, talc), using metering pumps to steadily deliver the resin and ensure consistent formulation ratios;
3. Phenolic adhesive coating: In the furniture and building materials industries, metering pumps precisely apply phenolic adhesive to substrate surfaces, controlling the amount applied (to avoid waste or insufficient bond strength);
4. Laboratory R&D: Small-volume delivery (e.g., 0.1-10 L/h) of modified phenolic resin for performance testing and formulation optimization relies on the high precision of plunger or diaphragm metering pumps.
