Water Glass Special Gear Metering Pump

Gear metering pumps for water glass processes are volumetric precision conveying devices adapted to the characteristics of water glass (sodium silicate). Because water glass contains fine sand particles, is viscosity-sensitive, and some processes require the conveying of hardening agents with extremely poor lubricity, these pumps are specifically designed in terms of materials, structure, and performance. They are widely used in various water glass molding processes in the foundry industry.

Water glass special gear metering pump are mainly used for pumping water glass.

For ordinary CO₂ water glass process, the amount of water glass process, the amount of water glass added is about 6~8%(by weight of sand);

for vacuum CO₂ water glass process, the amount of water glass added is about 3~4% (accounting for sand weight ).

Therefore, according to the process characteristics of ordinary CO₂ and CO₂ water glass, the water glass special gear metering pumps are used delivery of CO₂ water glass.

Usage and Maintenance Points:
* Before starting, ensure the pump chamber is full of medium to avoid cavitation or gear dry friction caused by dry running;
* Regularly clean residual water glass crystals from the pump chamber and lubricate and maintain seals and transmission components;
* Avoid conveying acidic, strongly alkaline, or chloride-containing fluids to prevent corrosion of pump components;
* Models with front and rear door openings are easy to disassemble and assemble, allowing for quick replacement of parts during maintenance and reducing downtime costs.
