PEPSET process
1. PEPSET process is a new type of casting process. Because of its stable dimensions, high accuracy, and good fluidity, it can be cast early, and the castings have good retreat during cooling and are not prone to cracks (especially under high pressure and high load).
2. PEPSET process hardening principle is that resin I (phenolic resin) and resin II (polyphenol isocyanate) react and harden under the action of a catalyst. Resin II is very easy to react strongly with moisture in the air, so the pump must have good air isolation ability, the catalyst is added in a small amount, and the transfer pump is required to have a small amount of transportation capacity. The ratio of the two components of resin I and resin II can be adjusted in the range of 40/60 to 60/40, generally 50:50; more components I, the curing speed is fast; the total amount of resin added is generally 1.0 to 2.0% ( (Accounting for sand weight), the amount of catalyst added is 1 to 7% of component I (accounting for the amount of resin) and pre-added to resin I (because the catalyst reacts quickly with resin II, the mixed resin sand needs to be used up within two days) .
3. For the pump for pumping resin II, the Ruck pump adopts a packing seal design to fully prevent the liquid material from leaking out, and prevent the moisture in the air from entering the liquid material. For the micro pump that transports the catalyst, the "multi-tooth displacement" design is adopted to ensure the high sensitivity of its micro-transport.
4. Resin II has strong hydrophilicity. If the pump and pipeline are not used for a long time, they are easy to be stuck. In response to this situation, we have designed an air drying device and a pipeline cleaning device. The water is filtered out, and the pump and pipeline can be cleaned without moving the pump when parking. It prevents the resin II from reacting with the moisture in the air and ensures the reliability of pump operation. According to Piper's process characteristics and requirements, C series stainless steel pumps are used to pump resin and catalyst, as shown in the following table:
